Acting Workshops

Acting workshops are a great way to expand your acting skills, make new contacts, and surround yourself with other actors who are as passionate about their craft as you are.

Workshops can be more specific than classes, often focusing one a single aspect of the acting business. For instance, you might take a workshop designed for children who are new to acting, or a workshop designed to train you in the latest audition techniques, or a workshop to train you in improvisation.

Each training program can stand on its own, or serve as a piece of the complete acting puzzle.

Here's a list of acting workshops to help get you started:

Acting Workshop On-Line

The New Actors Workshop
Our small size -- 35 to 60 students, 12 faculty -- creates an intimacy with classmates and instructors that facilitates your growth as an actor. The curriculum includes 15-18 hours a week of acting classes (scene work and technique) compared to an average of six in other schools. Our curriculum gives you access to the newest discoveries in actor training, many of which are unique to the Workshop. Our balance between performance-oriented improvisational work (theater games) and scripted, rehearsed scene work enhances your flexibility. Above and beyond the technical work, our understanding of and focus on the creative process increases your capacity to surprise yourself.
