Acting Exercises
Acting exercises provide the aspiring actor with the opporyunity to explore various characters, situations, and interactions.
When rehearsing at home, prepare ahead of time. Understand the limitations of your environment and be aware of the potential items that can incorporated naturally into your exercises. An exercise should have a primary push or purpose, so make sure you don't digress or wander off in tangents.
Avoid the melodramatic. On the other hand, don't stifle yourself if you feel the exercise or the character requires a gesture or a sigh or some other natural mannerism. Just keep in mind that you should always be true in the behaviors.
What matters most in your acting exercises? It's simple: are they delivered believably.

Movement And Dialogue
Concentrate on specificity of all elements of actions: sound, movement, and direction of energy. Also concentrate on keeping the rhythm of the exercises quick to avoid the opportunity for judgment and thinking. Just doing.
Shakespeare Through Exercises
This article describes a college Shakespeare course employing participatory methods. Students carried out a series of exercises designed to put them in touch with the basic emotions and to approach the plays in terms of those emotions.
